MASSAGE & ENERGY WORK
My name is Sara Gerke. I have been a Certified Massage Therapist since 2012, graduating from the Ridgewater College Advanced Massage Therapy Program. I grew up in the New London area and currently live in Willmar.

It has always been my goal to help people feel better. Becoming a Massage Therapist has given me the opportunity to do just that. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with people of all backgrounds and health, from Alzheimer’s and Dementia, Anxiety, Depression, Vertigo, MS, and other chronic conditions.
Although some conditions may require a doctor’s approval to receive massage, I can make adjustments to the type of massage or energy work you receive and work within the requirements of your healthcare team to keep you safe AND help you feel better.
I work in-house at Transcend Rehab & Wellness in Willmar, and I also offer mobile massage in Willmar, for a small fee, for those that can't make it into the office. I will travel to your home or event and arrive completely prepared for the massage of your choice. Whether a massage for one or a group, I am committed to bringing you high quality care and professionalism. I look forward to working with you!

In hot stone massage, heated basalt stones are used as both a relaxation or deep tissue tool as part of a treatment. The stones are placed on the body before the deep tissue work, allowing the heat to soothe muscles and help release tension. The heat opens the blood vessels which increases blood flow and circulation in the area.
Deep Tissue Massage
Generally, a more intense massage, deep tissue focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue and aims to release muscle tension by using pressure points to interrupt pain signals.

Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work in which the practitioner places their hands over, or slightly above, a client’s body in various positions. It helps initiate healing of both the mind and body by creating relaxation, stress reduction, and generating better energy flow throughout.
